In the September edition of  Real Simple Magazine, there was an article about the top five “must have” items in your wardrobe.  The items ranged from the classic cut black dress to a tuxedo jacket.  If I had to write a a top five list of “must haves” in a handbag, this Prada BR4085 would have them all.

5.  Pebbled leather.  For those of you who are not in love with Prada’s nylon bags, you’ll love the pebbled leather.  It’s classy, yet understated.  All the women in a meeting will stare at this bag when you walk in and pull out your laptop. (For those who ARE in love with the nylon, the Prada BR4098 is perfect for you!).

is4. Goldtone hardware.  The buckle strap details at the base of handles would not look as luxurious if they were silver.  The most outstanding detail on this handbag is the gold-toned side zippers accented with silver.  I LOVE it. See the Picture to the right.

3.  Zip pocket.  It’s important to have a safe compartment to put your purse.  More importantly, you’ll know exactly where your purse is when you need to pull it out while you’re at the grocery store with a crying baby, nagging husband or even a grouchy cashier. Seen the save time with visa commercials? Well, save time with Prada! :)

2.  Patch pocket. It’s the other pouch on the inside of the bag.  I store my Blackberry in this pocket, you can put your iPhone if you fancy.  It’s easily accessible and has a snap enclosure.

1.  It’s Prada!  Prada, with it’s elegant, yet trendy, handbags are a definite “must have.”

Now how do you decide between the nylon and leather? The leather looks expensive, well, it is, but the nylon is a lot lighter to carry. If you get both, you won’t have to choose!

Prada Messenger Bag BT0689 BlackThis is the review for messenger bag Prada BT0689 Black with Gold hardware. I must admit that I’m usually not a fan of gold enclosures and accents. But, this bag makes it work! I love Prada’s nylon bags.They are nice and luxurious but you don’t get the PETA protester that are sometimes drawn to animal products used in luxury items.

This messenger bag is elegant with it’s signature black nylon and goldtone hardware.   There’s plenty of room to fit all your needs with a front zip pocket, top zip closure, and an interior zip pocket with Prada’s logo. Some people think Prada’s nylon bags are cheap, but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.  Prada Messenger Bag BT0689 at eDesignerShopThis bag is durable, waterproof, and easily cleaned.  Most importantly, it’s classy and lightweight. When life is full of so many hassles, why add another one by buying a heavy bag that you’re going to worry all the time about getting dirty.  With this messenger bag, you don’t have to worry about getting it wet or dirty.  Plus, it’s lightweight enough that you can’t carry those extra 3 shades of lipstick in your purse without it getting too heavy.  I especially like the over the shoulder adjustable strap.   It’s very similar to the one Nicole Kidman was recently spotted wearing while out running errands for the day.

Some customers say they have gotten the same item but the interior is not lined with Prada lining but instead of red cloth or material! Care: How to take care of Prada Nylon

This is a very common question oftened asked by customers. What do you do if you get a stain on a Prada Nylon bag like Prada Handbag BN1701 Black? Here are few few tips you should follow:

- As mentioned in a previous post about care, you should always store your Prada items in their dust bag while not in use. Dust settling on the nylon can make the color seem dull over time

- This is a Prada Luxury Handbag, not a plastic shopping bag. The material can be sensitive to the salt in ocean air (especially the hardware), and do not handle harsh weather well. If you know there is going to be a snow storm, you may want to leave your Prada Clutch BP0199 at home. The best way to clean delicate items is to not get it dirty in the first place.

- If there isn’t an actual stain, and it’s just a regular cleaning, which you should do every few months depending on amount of use, eDesignerShop recommends every mom’s best friend, baby wipes! They are mild and will do a great job getting nylon clean. However, if you don’t have baby wipes, and have to go out and buy some, you may want to look for stain removing wipes. Everyone makes them now, including Tide, Shout, or other stain remover wipes.

- If these wipes don’t work on your particular stain, what Prada recommends using a soft bristle brush to apply a mixure of warm water and mild cleaner.
