Most handbags, including Prada handbags, Fendi handbags, Balenciaga handbags and so on come with a dust bag. For those that do not, we recommend you put them in a pillow case made out of natural fiber, like cotton. Why do they come with dust bags? The most obvious reason is for a place to store your item when it is “sleeping. This is where the dust bag gets it’s second name; sleeper bag.

Let’s face it, if you are reading this blog, you have more than one handbag. Let’s be honest, you probably have a collection of at least five to ten, if not up in the hundreds of beautiful handbags! Sitting in the closet, uncovered, your valuable Prada Leather Limited Edition, or your Fendi Spy Bag is not only collecting dust, but the hardware, most likely made out of brass, is getting oxidized and discolored while not in use.

So please, for the sake of your expensive jewels, keep them in a dust bag, or cotton pillow case. Also, stuff your bag if you are planning on storing for more than a few weeks in order to hold it’s form and keep it from forming creases or wrinkles. If possible, try to stuff the items with plastics, like bubble wrap, since it is less likely to attract moths. The last thing you want to find after saving your Balenciaga Giant City for a special occasion is a bag full of moth eggs!

Also, make sure the item is not stored in direct sunlight or extremely humid conditions. Like a fine wine, it may go up in value and be the envy of the designer world in a few years, but only if you take proper care of it.

Oh, just in case Balenciaga or Prada or any of the other brands forgot something, know that you are covered by eDesignerShop’s one year warranty in case anything goes wrong. You can see our warranty here: http://www.edesignershop.net/store/pg/310-Warranty.aspx
