COTM: For November, Brown, for Thanksgiving!

For October the Color Of the Month was Black, which fit the dark holiday of Halloween. What fits perfectly for November than brown? The leaves are turning brown and when you think of Thanksgiving, you think brown! Brown to many designers have become the new black. It’s versatile, subtle, down to earth and easy to match! Designers and celebrities love brown!

Let’s start with Fendi. Fendi has many shades of brown when it comes to their handbags and wallets. There’s Fendi Chocolate brown, which is a darker brown, but not as dark as Fendi’s Moro brown. We all know Fendi’s original canvas has always been beige/brown. Then then have the lighter browns, including bronze and tan. To the left you can see Paris Hilton carrying her brown Fendi Spy Handbag. It goes well with her black/camo outfit. eDesignerShop has a very similar spy bag to the one she is carrying. Here at eDesignerShop, we have a hard time keeping Brown Prada handbags in stock! Every time we get them in, they seem to be gone just as fast. We don’t blame you, Prada in general is extremely hot this year, and celebrities from Gisele (picture to the right)to Katie Holmes are addicted to them. You can’t be a Balenciaga collector if you dont’ have a Brown Balenciaga Handbag! Balenciaga has creative names for their browns. For the darker brown, it uses Black Cherry. Black Cherry is an extremely unique color that is not used often by other designers. In dim places, others will swear you are carrying a black Balenciaga handbag, but in the sun, as Tori Spelling is doing to the lower left, it looks almost red. Talk about versatile!

As for Tod’s, they have deep roots with the color brown. For darker browns, they have a “Chocolate Brown” and for lighter browns, they like the color Camel. I’ve always like the thought of the color Camel because the animal is the perfect representation of the color! And of course, no one enbodied Tod’s Brown Handbags like the late Lady Diana. Tod’s by design are classy and subtle. Below you can see Lady Diana carrying her Camel Tod’s handbag. After her passing, Tod’s appropriately named the bag she is carrying in the picture after her, calling it the Tod’s Lady D Handbag. COTM October: Black, just in time for Halloween!

So we are done with all the summer colors and since it’s after Labor Day so white is out. What would be the perfect color of the month for October? October, the leaves are falling, and we’re getting close to winter. The one major holiday is Halloween, making our choice obvious: Black!

I challenge you to find a designer who does not have a large black collection. Gucci, Fendi, Balenciaga, Tod’s, LV, and on and on, but no one focuses on black like Prada. Ever since Prada began to make their infamous nylon products, black has been associated with Prada. Usually we show you pictures of stars that carry the COTM colored handbag, but who doesn’t carry black? Ok, if you really need us to name drop…

COTM September: Coral

So we are midway through September. Gone is Labor Day Weekend, so no more white. Back to school madness is over and you’re either settling into work or school and in general, life is boring… How do you add some spice? In one word:

You know, that orange-red color that was hip in the 70’s? Well, it’s making a come back and man is it an attention grabber! COTM August: Green, All Shades, Forrest to Neon

So what is it about the color green? Green is found in many famous references, from “Green Eggs and Ham” to the myth about green M&M’s (this is a G rated blog, so if you don’t know about green M&M’s, you can google about it) and of course the good luck it brings all year round, not just St. Patricks Day. Of course every luxury designer from Prada to Fendi to Balenciaga uses SEVERAL shades of green.

Currently, the winner when it comes to shades of green on eDesignerShop is Balenciaga, with 3. Shades. Baby Green, Apple Green, and Green, which is a darker shade of green:

If you like green Balenciaga handbags, you aren’t the only one. Many celebrities are in love with Green Balenciaga handbags also! COTM July: Turquoise (Baby Blue Too!)

There are so many beautiful colors to choose from when it comes to handbags, so we have decided to feature a color a week in our blog. We call it, “Color of The Month”, or COTM.

Nothing shows your mood or your outlook on life than what you wear. Although it’s hard to find a bright pair of “blue” jeans, you can show people your love of life by choosing vibrant colored handbags!

Turquois or Turquoise, no matter how you spell it, is one of these colors. A fancy name for Baby Blue, it is a beautifully bright color that is eye catching, yet not too obnoxious.

So what can you wear turquois with? It’s actually a very easy color to accessorize with.In a famous scene in the movie “The Devil Wears Prada”, we see them match a Turquois Prada Handbag with a red dress, and red shoes. It actually looks pretty good next to that beige sweater as well since turquois matches extremely well with earth tones.
