This review was originally intended for the Prada Tote Bag BR4118 from the Prada Jeweled line, however, it is very similar to the other tote bags in the line including BR4138 and BN1752. You can see the picture on the left, but the major difference will be the sizes. They measure:

Prada BR4118: approximately 15” wide x 11″ tall x 7″ deep

Prada BR4138: approximately 14” wide x 13.5″ tall x 4″ deep

Prada BN1752: approximately 11.5” wide x 9.75″ tall x 6″ deep

So by far the BN1752 is the smallest of the three, with BR4118 the widest and BR4138 the tallest. With that in mind, enjoy the following review.

I love the Prada Tote Bag BR4118 Black for it’s versatility.  It’s a tote that can make you look and feel elegant and sexy all day long.  Start the day by using it as your briefcase.  It even has 4 metal feet on the bottom to help function as a briefcase.  You’ll be able to fit all your documents, laptop, and necessities in this tote.   Take it to your power lunch with a client or replace the laptop with diapers and wipes to turn it into a trendy diaper bag.  At the end of the day, whether you’re going bar hopping or to see Disney on Ice with the kids, this tote is the perfect accessory.

The exterior is nylon adorned with black jewelry lined with gold.  The leather straps have gold hardware to perfectly complement the gold Prada logo.  Inside, there are 2 zippered compartments to keep all your items safe.

Personally, I love this bag for business use for the day, but I would switch to the smaller Prada BP0250 for use in the evenings if you are going out for a nice dinner with your guy.

In the September edition of  Real Simple Magazine, there was an article about the top five “must have” items in your wardrobe.  The items ranged from the classic cut black dress to a tuxedo jacket.  If I had to write a a top five list of “must haves” in a handbag, this Prada BR4085 would have them all.

5.  Pebbled leather.  For those of you who are not in love with Prada’s nylon bags, you’ll love the pebbled leather.  It’s classy, yet understated.  All the women in a meeting will stare at this bag when you walk in and pull out your laptop. (For those who ARE in love with the nylon, the Prada BR4098 is perfect for you!).

4. Goldtone hardware.  The buckle strap details at the base of handles would not look as luxurious if they were silver.  The most outstanding detail on this handbag is the gold-toned side zippers accented with silver.  I LOVE it. See the Picture to the right.

3.  Zip pocket.  It’s important to have a safe compartment to put your purse.  More importantly, you’ll know exactly where your purse is when you need to pull it out while you’re at the grocery store with a crying baby, nagging husband or even a grouchy cashier. This review is for the Prada handbag BR3980black, but we also carry this item in a beautiful white color, so most of this review should also apply to the white.

The Prada BR3980 is the perfect blend of elegance and style!  I love the simplicity of the black leather paired with the silver hardware.  The shoulder strap with silver plating is exquisite.   The plating has 6 dots on it as well as an engraved Prada logo…pictures really can’t do it justice.

When you’re walking down the street, whether you’re stylin’ in your new tailored pantsuit or having a lazy sweats day at the park with your kids, people will definitely glance twice at this handbag.  The silver tone plating is eye-catching and trendy.  As you can tell, the plating is my favorite detail on this purse.   That’s not the only thing I like though.  As I’ve said before, the the zip pocket is perfect for easy access to my purse and the patch pockets seems to be made for my Blackberry or your iPhone if you please.

The bag seems big, but it’s not very wide (Measures approximately 14” wide x 11″ tall x 6″ deep). While it’s not practical for everyday use, it’s perfect for the slim laptop and a project folder for meetings.   Or head to the beach with sunblock, a towel, sunglasses, and a trashy novel.

This is the review for messenger bag Prada BT0689 Black with Gold hardware. I must admit that I’m usually not a fan of gold enclosures and accents. But, this bag makes it work! I love Prada’s nylon bags.They are nice and luxurious but you don’t get the PETA protester that are sometimes drawn to animal products used in luxury items.

This messenger bag is elegant with it’s signature black nylon and goldtone hardware.   There’s plenty of room to fit all your needs with a front zip pocket, top zip closure, and an interior zip pocket with Prada’s logo. Some people think Prada’s nylon bags are cheap, but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.  This bag is durable, waterproof, and easily cleaned.  Most importantly, it’s classy and lightweight. When life is full of so many hassles, why add another one by buying a heavy bag that you’re going to worry all the time about getting dirty.  With this messenger bag, you don’t have to worry about getting it wet or dirty.  Plus, it’s lightweight enough that you can’t carry those extra 3 shades of lipstick in your purse without it getting too heavy.  I especially like the over the shoulder adjustable strap.   It’s very similar to the one Nicole Kidman was recently spotted wearing while out running errands for the day.

Be careful buying this one on the internet! Some customers say they have gotten the same item but the interior is not lined with Prada lining but instead of red cloth or material! Please see the picture to the left, the inside should have Prada lining and the zipper and zipper pull are detailed and not generic. Please be on the lookout! This review was originally intended for the Prada BR4006 Wave Striped Handbag Black, which is a beautiful design that incorporates Prada’s signature Nylon and Nappa leather together. However, while writing this review, the Prada BR3932 “Stripes” Handbag came into stock. The overall design is the same, but the BR3932 is about 25% bigger as you can see by the picture to the left. So this review can also be applied to BR3932 Prada Handbag.
